新聞分享 / Michael Lau x Nike SB Blazer Low 是聯名鞋、藝術品還是玩具？

2006 年 Michael Lau x Nike SB Dunk Low，以木紋呈現於鞋面之上，展現 Michael Lau 公仔藝術家的身份，也呼應他的創作角色 NY Fat，至今再售市場 StockX 上仍有 4,000~6,000 元美金的價格，如今雙方再度合作，慶祝《Collect Them All！》展覽繼去年香港的好評後，即將於 8 月 31 日至 9 月 12 日在上海舉辦，而其主題 Salvator Mundi（救世主），是汲取藝術家達文西畫作並二次創作出的作品，Michael Lau 想藉此表達藝術收藏家對其作品的狂熱和迷戀，如同「所有玩具都是藝術，所有藝術都是玩具」之概念，聯名鞋款也是如此，除了有著畫作上的色彩與筆觸之外，中底下方一排釘針也是繪畫時常用來固定畫布的素材，據 Michael Lau 表示還有模仿介紹卡的吊牌和木製鞋盒。

Michael Lau x Nike SB Blazer Low ‘Salvator Mundi’ 將於 8 月 18 日由 Concepts China、Fly Shanghai 兩單位販售，而所得將捐贈來幫助推廣中國滑板文化。

STAPLES ON CANVAS! August 12, 2019 – Rooted in a collaborative relationship that stretches back to 2006, the Nike SB Blazer Low “Salvator Michael” is a hand-in-hand effort between Nike SB and artist Michael Lau, inspired by the character, Salvator Michael, of a marquee painting piece in Lau’s COLLECT THEM ALL! Exhibiton in Hong Kong, 2018. The shoe that is presented as a piece of artwork, carries on the exhibition’s theme of art collectors’ toyish and passionate attachment to their works, expressing Lau’s concept of ‘All toys are art, all art are toys”. The canvas base fabric is cut at different angles to create unique print variations of the painting. Other cues are clear references within the world of art auctions. For example, staples are applied around the midsole to mimic the staples that mount a painting canvas to its frame, the lot card design at the heel tab and the wood crate shoe box. The shoe releases on August 18 with a launch event in Shanghai organized by Concepts China & Fly Shanghai to pay tribute to late Sandy Bodecker.
